AC Technical Services is seeking an Allen-Bradley Process Controls Programmer:

SUMMARY:

AC Technical Services (a subsidiary of AC Controls Company) is seeking an Allen-Bradley Process Controls Programmer (Automation Specialist) with demonstrable skills with Allen Bradley PLC and Rockwell FactoryTalk programming software to join our design team. In this position you will develop custom control systems based on plans and customer specifications working in concert with the production and sales teams. The ideal candidate will have experience in flow, pressure, and temperature control systems

This position will primarily be a remote role but will include travel to the Concord, NC Headquarters and customer locations within the region (typically NC, SC, VA, and GA). The ideal candidate will be located in the Carolinas.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Configure, program, startup, and commission custom control systems.
  • Troubleshoot and re-configure defective configurations, perform scheduled maintenance and warranty work, and provide phone and field technical support.
  • Coordinate design/programming activities with other departments.
  • Assist in testing control system configurations.
  • Assist activities to validate and commission control systems during factory acceptance test (FAT).
  • Provide on-site training to customers as needed.
  • Suggest system improvements, modifications, etc. to the project manager.
  • Complete documentation for assigned tasks.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements and Qualifications

  • 5+ years of demonstrated professional work experience - Familiarity and experience with Boiler and Boiler Plant control systems, both BMS and Combustion Control, as well as other process control systems strongly preferred.
  • Associate degree in related technical field, or commensurate relevant work experience required; BS in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering preferred.
  • Proficiency in Allen-Bradley PLCs using both Function Block and Ladder programming and Rockwell FactoryTalk View is required.
  • Proficiency in software applications including but not limited to Microsoft Word, Excel, and AutoCAD.
  • Ability to tune various control loops to meet control system requirements.
  • Ability to multi-task and work independently in a fast paced, hyper-growth environment
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills including, but not limited to, the ability to relate technical terminology to customers, listen effectively, and solicit input from others.
  • Must be able to travel, both locally and overnight, approximately 10%.

AC Controls is seeking an Account Manager – Triangle Region, Richmond, and Eastern Virginia

Summary

AC Controls is seeking a proactive, motivated, Account Manager to work with assigned accounts throughout the Triangle Region, Richmond area, and Eastern Virginia. In this position, you will work with our Vice President of Sales to target key accounts, develop, and grow new business and bring the AC Controls quality of service to your customers.

Responsibilities

  • Interface directly with end users to determine system requirements and propose solutions to temperature, pressure, level, and flow challenges.
  • Build productive, profitable, and long-lasting customer relationships.
  • Identify and expand client list in assigned territory.
  • Develop sales strategies and plans to meet personal and regional sales targets.
  • Travel throughout assigned territory to meet new prospects and develop existing customers.
  • Continuous focus on technical knowledge and industry research on products supported by AC Controls.
  • Track activities and sales information using in-house CRM software.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required; background in engineering preferred.
  • 3+ years proven sales experience in an industrial market.
  • Experience in industrial process controls with valves and instrumentation preferred.
  • Self-motivated and driven.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
  • Solution oriented and able to exercise extreme attention to detail.
  • Experience working with sales-oriented CRM.
  • Familiarity with different sales techniques and pipeline management.
  • Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite, required.

Compensation and Benefits

This position will begin as a salaried position, transitioning into a full commission pay plan after becoming established in the territory.
