AC Controls is seeking an Inside Sales Specialist

Summary

The Inside Sales Specialist is ultimately responsible for inbound lead generation and responsiveness to customer inquiries to drive order creation and management, working in concert with our outside sales team to facilitate the sales solution lifecycle.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Generate new and repeat sales by providing product and technical information in a timely manner.
  • Determine customer requirements and expectations in order to recommend specific products and solutions.
  • Proactively recommend and quote products based on cost, availability, or specifications.
  • Establish relationships with customers to ensure repeat business and customer retention.
  • Field incoming customer phone calls and return calls when necessary.
  • Accurately process customer transactions such as orders, quotes, or returns, or, if additional assistance is needed, make product recommendations.
  • Working in conjunction with customer service manager and outside sales account manager, clearly identify customer process application, material requirements, process data, etc. in order to develop an ideal solution for the customer’s application.
  • Work to ensure on-time delivery including, but not limited to, checking lead times etc. to estimate appropriate delivery date, work with valve and assembly shop, shipping and receiving department, manufacturers, etc. to coordinate on-time delivery. Expedite orders as needed.
  • Maintain relationships with manufacturing company.
  • Maintain current contact information for customers in CRM as needed.
  • Maintain current contact information and pricing for vendors in CRM as needed.
  • Contact customers to follow up on quotes and agree on next steps.
  • Assist other Inside Sales Specialists as needed during workload changes or absences.
  • Attend weekly Inside Sales phone call and monthly Inside Sales meetings to discuss goals for upcoming week/month and prior week/month’s performance.
  • Stay current on new product lines and any associated training.
  • Attend monthly lunch & learns for demonstrations on new and existing products.
  • Attend in-depth training on instrumentation product line. Serve as subject matter expert and point of contact for specific product lines.
  • Process and proofread incoming purchase orders received and turn into orders in systems.
  • Meet any documentation requirements, i.e., including tag number.
  • Review purchase order to ensure there are no terms and conditions that require managerial approval.
  • Navigate internal sale and product management system. Interact with all internal departments.
  • Participate in special project meetings including build schedule, shipping, and storage, when necessary.
  • Participate in outside projects as needed, i.e., reviewing spec sheet, generating internal quotes, working with outside sales point of contact and interfacing with customer.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Able to exercise extreme attention to detail.
  • Well organized and able to work in a fast paced, numbers and deadline-driven environment.
  • Strong professional communication skills, written and verbal, required for both internal and external interactions.
  • Microsoft Office Suite experience.

Education / Training

  • Some industry experience in any capacity ideal.
  • Sales or customer service experience required.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.

AC Controls is seeking an Account Manager – Triangle Region, Richmond, and Eastern Virginia

Summary

AC Controls is seeking a proactive, motivated, Account Manager to work with assigned accounts throughout the Triangle Region, Richmond area, and Eastern Virginia. In this position, you will work with our Vice President of Sales to target key accounts, develop, and grow new business and bring the AC Controls quality of service to your customers.

Responsibilities

  • Interface directly with end users to determine system requirements and propose solutions to temperature, pressure, level, and flow challenges.
  • Build productive, profitable, and long-lasting customer relationships.
  • Identify and expand client list in assigned territory.
  • Develop sales strategies and plans to meet personal and regional sales targets.
  • Travel throughout assigned territory to meet new prospects and develop existing customers.
  • Continuous focus on technical knowledge and industry research on products supported by AC Controls.
  • Track activities and sales information using in-house CRM software.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required; background in engineering preferred.
  • 3+ years proven sales experience in an industrial market.
  • Experience in industrial process controls with valves and instrumentation preferred.
  • Self-motivated and driven.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
  • Solution oriented and able to exercise extreme attention to detail.
  • Experience working with sales-oriented CRM.
  • Familiarity with different sales techniques and pipeline management.
  • Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite, required.

This position will begin as a salaried position, transitioning into a full commission pay plan after becoming established in the territory. AC Technical Services is seeking an Allen-Bradley Process Controls Programmer:

SUMMARY:

AC Technical Services (a subsidiary of AC Controls Company) is seeking an Allen-Bradley Process Controls Programmer (Automation Specialist) with demonstrable skills with Allen Bradley PLC and Rockwell FactoryTalk programming software to join our design team. In this position you will develop custom control systems based on plans and customer specifications working in concert with the production and sales teams. The ideal candidate will have experience in flow, pressure, and temperature control systems

This position will primarily be a remote role but will include travel to the Concord, NC Headquarters and customer locations within the region (typically NC, SC, VA, and GA). The ideal candidate will be located in the Carolinas.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Configure, program, startup, and commission custom control systems.
  • Troubleshoot and re-configure defective configurations, perform scheduled maintenance and warranty work, and provide phone and field technical support.
  • Coordinate design/programming activities with other departments.
  • Assist in testing control system configurations.
  • Assist activities to validate and commission control systems during factory acceptance test (FAT).
  • Provide on-site training to customers as needed.
  • Suggest system improvements, modifications, etc. to the project manager.
  • Complete documentation for assigned tasks.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements and Qualifications

  • 5+ years of demonstrated professional work experience - Familiarity and experience with Boiler and Boiler Plant control systems, both BMS and Combustion Control, as well as other process control systems strongly preferred.
  • Associate degree in related technical field, or commensurate relevant work experience required; BS in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering preferred.
  • Proficiency in Allen-Bradley PLCs using both Function Block and Ladder programming and Rockwell FactoryTalk View is required.
  • Proficiency in software applications including but not limited to Microsoft Word, Excel, and AutoCAD.
  • Ability to tune various control loops to meet control system requirements.
  • Ability to multi-task and work independently in a fast paced, hyper-growth environment
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills including, but not limited to, the ability to relate technical terminology to customers, listen effectively, and solicit input from others.
  • Must be able to travel, both locally and overnight, approximately 10%.
